What is Samotsari?
Samotsari is a Filipino term meaning anything and everything or various stuff. This website aims to assist Overseas Filipino Workers or Migrants to reach out and assist their loved ones in the Philippines with the services offered by the site. It could be a simple top-up of their pre-paid mobile load, quick GCash sending of up to $200, or purchasing Ready-to-Cook meals, weekend set menus or even fast-food delivery.
How it all started?
In March 2020, with the advent of Covid lockdown in the Philippines, the creator of Samotsari found herself a continent away, miles from home, and worrying about her 2 isolated aunts in the Philippines who are both over 65, don’t drive, and badly needing assistance. She used to be one of the go-to people her aunts had while staying in a nearby town. However, being overseas, she couldn’t help but feel helpless about not being able to send them needed assistance and the disease looming over made her worry even more. That’s how Samotsari was born.
Our Goal
Samotsari endeavours to eventually have literally anything of everything that you’d like to send over your loved ones without costing you an arm and a leg. Also, without the hassle of waiting for confirmations on delivery, etc. It seeks to assist overseas Filipinos send their love to the Philippines. Without local PH numbers, some delivery systems could prevent you from sending over RTCs or fast-food. As what was encountered by the creator of the site. Allow us to help take the processing headache away for minimal fees and let you send your love – especially during this Christmas season.
